Interview: Deepika’s flying high

The Bollywood actress tells us why she enjoyed working with her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in her forthcoming movie Bachna Ae Haseeno.

Are you excited about the release of Bachna Ae Haseeno?

Actually I am. I think we have made a pretty good film and I’m quite keen to see how it goes down with the audience.

How was it working with beau Ranbir?

It was a wonderful experience. We shared a great rapport. We would discuss ideas and rehearse scenes together. I had an amazing time working with him.

Can you tell us more about the RK tattoo on your neck?

It’s an absolutely personal thing and I don’t want to talk about it.

Is it true that you didn’t get along well with your co-stars Bipasha and Minissha?

No. We couldn’t spend much time together on the sets as our shots were at different times. Yet we bonded well whenever we met. I really look forward to working with Bipasha and Minissha again. I don’t know why the media is trying to rake a controversy about me not getting along well with them.

Tell us things people don’t know about you.

I am an extremely shy person. I take time to open up or make conversation. Besides that, I like eating simple food and listening to music.

Give us one genre of movies you would love to work in.

Action films. I am an athlete and this will help do justice to my role. I was thrilled to work in the action film Chandni Chowk To China with Akshay Kumar.

Are you doing any item numbers in any of your movies?

Yes. A song in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Billoo Barber.
