Shah Rukh Khan will play Harrison Ford’s character in the Indian version of Hollywood blockbuster series Indiana Jones.
The movie will be directed by Santosh Sivan, who will be teaming up with Shah Rukh after a gap of seven years. Their last film together was Asoka.
Despite Asoka’s debacle, Khan had always said that he wants to work with Sivan.

Sure enough, he couldn’t say no when the director approached him for a lead role in his forthcoming fantasy action adventure. Movie details are under wraps, but Bollywood insiders say much like Indiana Jones’s character, the action-thriller will have Khan hunting for lost treasures in a mystical land.
It will be a big-budget movie with a dash of romance and comedy, said a source.
The filmmaker has managed to rope in John Abraham for a physically demanding role, but is still looking for the lead actress.
Sivan is expected to start work on this flick after the release of his much-anticipated movie Kashmir Tahaan.
