Kids’ party time: Baby loves to danceBy Pauline M. Forte, Staff Reporter

Clubs in Dubai will no longer be frequented by grown-ups only.
Thanks to Baby Loves Disco, even babies and kids can now go dancing and play games along with their parents at Plan B in Wafi City.
Co-founded by Americans Heather Murphy and Andy Blackman Hurwitz in 2004, Baby Loves Disco will launch in Dubai on Saturday, October 11 and will henceforth be held every second Saturday of each month.
Hip products
"There is lots of evidence that points to the fact that parents want a blend of healthy but hip products for their little ones," Murphy said.
The idea for Baby Loves Disco took shape one day after Murphy was unable to throw a dance party in her living room for lack of space. She asked a nightclub owner if she could host an afternoon dance party during his slow hours on a weekend.
The event, held in 2004, sold out and so did all the ones after that. At the Dubai party, 400 children and adults are expected to groove to the music of DJ Chris Fisher who will spin tunes from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.
More than dance
"Baby Loves Disco provides a great alternative to your regular play centres or family brunches," said Emma Scorpo, the host of the party.
In addition to dancing at the party, children also have other entertaining options like a Barbie play corner, a magician and a Hot Wheels race track.
