Alba: Daughter is love of my life

Agenceis

Jessica Alba has described her new daughter Honor Marie as "the love of my life". "Everything is cute, everything is fun," the actress told People.com. "Including the explosive diarrhoea - the best ever. She's the love of my life. The love is profound. She gives everything more meaning." And it seems that having her first baby has brought the actress and her husband Cash Warren even closer together. "It brings family together. It brings friends together. It makes every decision that you make that much more important," she said. However, Jessica and Cash have had to face a few sleepless nights with the new baby. "It depends on what you think sleeping through the night is," said the actress. "She gets a few bottles a night, yes. But she doesn't wake up and want to hang out." Since Honor was born in June, Jessica has worked hard to get her svelte pre-pregnancy body back. "I worked out - not for hours, but I definitely had to work out," she said. "And I ate, not a lot of sweets and not a lot of cream. I kept a pretty simple organic diet, which I do now anyway."

No more kids for Stiller

With two children already a handful, Ben Stiller isn't planning on having any more kids any time soon. "I'm happy where we're at right now," Ben, 42, told OK! Magazine. "Two is a handful. I feel very fortunate and blessed." "Two is enough for now. Three's off," confirmed his wife Christine Taylor, who is mother to Ella, six, and son Quinlan three. "They're incredible," said Ben. "They're ridiculously cute at six and three, and every moment is a joy and a wonderful challenge that people who have kids can only understand. It's the best." And Christine is also enjoying being a mother. "It's the most selfless thing ever, and it takes me out of all the craziness in my own head," she said. "I can put it on my children, and hopefully not put the crazy in them."

Timberlake 'puts down NY roots'

Justin Timberlake is looking forward to spending more time in the Big Apple. People.com reports that the star has apparently coughed up a cool 5.25 million dollars (Dh19.25) for a condo in the New York City's trendy downtown Tribeca neighbourhood. "It's the greatest city in the world," JT said. "It's good for everything. It's good for food. There is good fashion. There is mostly good weather except for (rainy) today. And it's the realest city in America." Justin, who may move in to his new pad with steady girlfriend Jessica Biel, was speaking en route to the 5th Annual Black Ball for the Keep A Child Alive charity, which was founded by singer Alicia Keys to help HIV/AIDS children and their families in Africa. "Alicia is a great friend of mine. We both got to talking about this event. We talked about how we had both been to some of the same places in Africa, and how money in the right places can actually help," said Justin.

Kanye West arrested after bust-up

Rap superstar Kanye West was arrested following a bust-up at a glitzy nightclub. The 31-year-old was arrested in the early hours of the morning following the incident outside Tup Tup Palace bar in Newcastle, on suspicion of assault. Earlier the rapper had wowed crowds at the city's Metro Arena as part of his Glow In The Dark UK tour.
A police spokesman said: "We can confirm that a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident at a Newcastle city centre nightclub in the early hours of this morning.

"He was released without charge and no further police action is being taken."

A spokesman for the Tup Tup Palace confirmed that the rap star had been a guest last night.  "He was here from about 1am to 2am with all his crew," the spokesman said.

Madonna asks for donations

Madonna may be a superstar with a fair share of cash in the bank but, as she prepares to start work on a new project, she has appealed for help from the public. The Queen Of Pop announced that she is going to build The Raising Malawi Academy For Girls, a girls' school in the native African country of her adopted son David Banda. "I'm sure you know that I'm on tour right now and I'm having an amazing time, but there are other things that I'm doing that are equally important to me and that are very near and dear to my heart," she said on her website.

Elton John's New Year bash

Fresh from his Billy Elliot Broadway success, Elton John is to host the "ultimate" New Year's Eve party at the 02 in London. The superstar will belt out his greatest hits in what promises to be "the biggest party in town". Elton said: "I can't wait to get to spend New Year's Eve with 17,000 of my biggest fans. I can't think of a better way to see in 2009."

The 61-year-old also marvelled at his success at the opening in New York of Billy Elliot the Musical, for which he composed the score.

Speaking in New York, he said: "I had never thought in a million years I'd ever be standing in Broadway and talking about something I'd written for the stage."
