If rock ‘n’ roll is your forté, get ready to show the world how you move at the newest hotspot in town – Club Submarine, which opened yesterday at the Dhow Palace Hotel.
The club hit all the right notes on its debut with a tribute to Robby Williams by Lee Cadly being the highlight of the evening. RJ Chris Fisher from Dubai 92 FM was on top of his game, while the resident band, Something Extra, from Canada had the crowds rocking into the wee hours of the morning.
And there was enough space to groove, with the spacious dance floor “capable of accommodating a minimum of 150 people at a time”, according to James, Operations Manager, Club Submarine.
James said the club is targeting the up-market and trendy crowd, with preference given to ladies and couples.
The club promises varied stuff right through the week.
“While the resident band and DJ will be pumping up the decibel volumes every night [except Saturdays], Wednesdays are slotted for German underground music, Fridays will be special R&B nights with DJs coming from abroad, while Saturdays are strictly Bollywood rewind nights.
“The best thing is that there are no parking hassles, with the hotel boasting two basement parking areas,” James added.
Remember to keep aside Dh100 for door charges – ladies walk in free.
