Sufi Kathak: A dance in tranceXPRESS |
One of India’s most revered classical dancer Manjari Chaturvedi will perform on soul-stirring qawwalis from the Awadh region on Friday evening. The only performing artist of Sufi kathak, Manjari lends a new dimension to the dance form by fusing the dancing styles of the whirling dervishes of Turkey with kathak.

Jazz festival: Barbecue beckons
Internationally acclaimed French band Barbecue will perform at a 10-day long jazz festival which gets underway from today. Formed by a group of students in the 1960s, Barbecue has performed at over 1500 concerts worldwide.
