Wedding Fashion: Abu Dhabi Bride Show

This year’s Bride Show Abu Dhabi promises to be bigger and better. The four-day exhibition which opened on February 5 and runs until February 8, features an exclusive range of local and international design including a fashion competition.

Visitors can expect to see haute couture by renowned fashion houses such as Amato, Cygnet Fashion, Ghanati Couture, La Donna as well as designs by Mohammad Rahmanian and Contessa from the UAE.

Everything from photography and custom-made travel packages to wedding cakes and jewellery will be on display.

Art exhibition: Ritual by Kan-si

Senegalese artist Kan-si’s work integrates African tradition. His exhibition gives an insight into Islamic values and traditions. Artistically and visually speaking, the different postures of a Muslim praying are like characters of an alphabet written in space. Repeating the gestures in the prayers, Kan-si visualises the different postures in sobre but precise graphism (expressing thought with material symbols).

 Food festival: Taste of Dubai

The four-day food fest, Taste Of Dubai, which kicked off yesterday is touted as one of the finest outdoor gourmet food and beverage festivals of the year. The event also features live music and other entertaining performances.

 In concert: Santana live in Dubai

Barely a week left before Santana performs in Dubai and you surely don’t want to be left out of the concert. So to avoid disappointment, you better book your tickets pronto and watch one of the living legends of rock music. Fans can expect to hear some of the rocker’s greatest hits at the show.

Life coaching: How to achieve your goals

Certified life coach Saira Mehar, is conducting an exclusive well-being workshop on Friday in Dubai. The two-hour session will teach participants how to visualise their goals and desires and show how to go about achieving them. Life coaching has become a rage with celebrities, sportsmen and politicians as it helps improve the quality of life and also helps achieve targets comfortably .
