One of Britain’s finest contemporary artists, Alexander Creswell, will be showcasing his work at the Majlis Gallery on March 15. Alexander is best known for his landmark water colours commissioned by Queen Elizabeth II to record the fire and restoration of Windsor Castle in the 1990s. He has also been attributed with doing a series of water colour paintings which, at 3 metres in length, could be the world’s largest.

Luxury Yachts: Boat show 2008
Not everyone can afford one, but you can at least see a luxury yacht up close at the Dubai International Boat Show (DIBS) 2008. The event which is being held at the Dubai International Marine Club, Mina Seyahi, features boats by top companies including Amels and Feadship from The Netherlands, amd US super yacht builders Burger.

Party: Chill-out fest
The two-day Perrier Chill Out Festival at Madinat Jumeirah Amphitheatre on March 13 and 14 promises to be a fun-filled night. The event is expected to draw an exciting line-up of artists including Richard Dorpmeister from Austria, REG Project from Lebanon, Jalebee Cartel from India, Furat Qasri, Dubai’s Abstrakt Collision, DJ Andy Smith from UK, Michael Reinboth from Germany and the popular Pierre Ravan, among others.
