Paritossh Painter’s hilarious Hindi comedy Oye Ki Giri Hai is about a young girl’s desperate search for a soul mate.

Euphoria, an exhibition of surrealist works reminiscent of epic traditional Persian paintings and illustrations by Iranian artist Ali Akbar Sadeghi opens on Monday.

Disney high: School musical

The stage production of Disney’s box-office hit High School Musical is in Dubai. The contemporary musical about high school basketball player Troy and shy but academically gifted newcomer Gabriella features a cast of over 90 performers, most of whom are from Dubai itself.

An international troupe comprising musicians and animators from Italy and stilt walkers from Poland entertain visitors as part of DSS activities.

Theatre: Hindi play

Abhimanch presents a rip- roaring Hindi comedy, Kavve Chale Hans Ki Chaal, this weekend. Written and directed by Suhail Iqbal, the play has been adapted from an original work by K. Balchander.

Art exhibition: Private collection

An 18th century upright coin-operated polyphone with 15 discs and a 17th century Austrian-Hungarian clock figure prominently in the list of items from the private collection of art and antique enthusiast Ghada Kunash who’s putting her collectibles on display later this week.
