For a change, Basement Gallery has decided to put the spotlight on artists who aren’t too well known but are doing great work. The creations of several such emerging artists from around the world are on display at an exhibition titled Uncovered, which opened on Monday. The month-long exhibition will serve as a platform for young artists to showcase their talents. It will be a place where brave new ideas and thoughts will share a common place, said Narges Hamzianpour, one of the founders of Basement Gallery.

Dubai-based movie producer Craig Johnson has issued a casting call for roles in his first regional film Expats – a movie based on expatriate life in Dubai.
