Rock legends Scorpions are all set to create a storm when they perform in Dubai Thursday. The band from Hanover, Germany, is best known for the 1980s rock anthem Rock You Like a Hurricane and singles like No One Like You and Still Loving You. The band has sold over 75 million albums worldwide.

Disney live: Mickey’s magic show
Dubai will get a taste of Disney’s magic as Mickey Mouse and friends roll into town as part of the Disney Live Mickey’s Magic Show world tour. The show will also feature famed illusion designer Jim Steinmeyer, who has worked with famous magicians like David Copperfield and Lance Burton.

Dance Competition: Can Dubai dance?
Ten couples will be put to the test at Dubai Can Dance, a formal black tie and entertainment gala night to be held during the weekend.
Dance personalities Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag, stars of the hit BBC programme Strictly Come Dancing, will judge the competition. Enthusiasm will be the most important factor, said Erin. "A great sense of enjoyment, good posture and musicality are what we are looking for. Dancing is fun and participants need to show that," she said. According to Anton, communication and rapport as a couple define a great performance. "A good hold, a good grasp of the basic footwork and good rhythm are all important," said Anton.
