Pakistan and India mark their Independence Day celebrations in Dubai with two unmissable events this weekend. Here’s all that you want to know about them

Jashn-e-azadi show

Pakistan’s undisputed king of comedy, Umar Sharif  will regale a capacity crowd with his witty one-liners at the Jashn-e-Azadi show Thursday evening. Hotshot singers Abrar-ul-Haq and Jawad Ahmad will be the other star attractions of the concert which also features Naghmana Jafri, Huma Khwaja, Veena Malik and dance diva Megha.

WHEN: August 14, 8pm

Parampara

Celebrated Bollywood actress and danseuse Hema Malini will present a classical ballet, Parampara, tomorrow. Hema Malini will be accompanied on stage by daughters Esha and Ahana, right. Parampara portrays the guru-shishya (teacher-disciple) relationship between a parent and child.
