Care for your eyesDr Vishwas Chhabra |
Human eyes need care. With age, the muscles around the eyes become rigid and lose their elasticity. Yoga can help tired eyes.
Exercise your eyes
Blink your eyes: While keeping them closed, roll the eyeballs in clockwise and anti-clockwise direction. Take a deep breath. Gradually open your eyes while releasing your breath. This lasts for a minute. Repeat three times
Look away: While working long hours, turn away from your computer. Look at distant objects. This helps eyes focus better
Palming: Sit straight at the workstation and rub your palms against each other till they become warm. Then, lightly cup both eyes with the palms and relax for 60 seconds
Splash water on your face with eyes closed
Drink plenty of water: It helps reduce puffiness
Eat healthy: Incorporate vitamins A, C, and E on a daily basis. Pack a box of chopped carrots, cucumber and fresh fruits and munch in between meals in office
