A delegation from UAE, will take part in the Palestine Investment Conference to be held from Wednesday to Friday in Bethlehem.
The delegation, led by Mohammad Ahmad Bin Abdul Aziz Al Shahi, undersecretary of UAE Economy Ministry, includes representatives of government authorities, the private sector and Dubai and Abu Dhabi Trade and Industry Chambers.
“Palestine has potentials to draw foreign investment and human power,” said Al Shahi.
Investments in the occupied Arab territories are worth around $1.5 billion (Dh5.5 billion).
Al Shahi said UAE participation comes in line with the country’s continuous financial support to the Palestine people which reached around $808 million (Dh3 billion) between 1994 and 2006.
The conference will examine current projects and investment opportunities in Palestine, aiming to revitalise the Palestinian economy and lay the foundation for long-term development and a competitive climate.
