‘Uncertified physicians pose grave danger’
Dubai: The Emirates Health Society has notified the Ministry of Health about the growing number of uncertified physicians who are using their places of residence to illegally attend to patients, charging them much lower fees than those charged by certified physicians, the Arabic press reported.
According to a senior official of the society, these “physicians”, who are not under anybody’s control, even perform dangerous surgeries, leaving the patients susceptible to infections and side-effects.
The official pointed out that they continued to receive complaints from residents that these imposters, who usually came from Asian and European countries on visit visas, conduct their practice from inside their hotel rooms.
