Ekram Rehman, Indian International calls here are expensive and I think this is because of etisalat’s monopoly. It is much cheaper to call the UAE from other countries because there’s lots of competition among network companies.

Gassan Jalal, Iraqi Yes, it is expensive. I’m part of an entertainment business company and usually have to make calls to the US and Europe. For personal calls abroad, I have to call during off-peak times so it costs less.

Jamal Hamed, Egyptian It is expensive, that’s why my wife keeps a budget for the number of calls we make to relatives. We try to make use of the off-peak rates but there are times when we have no choice but to call during normal hours due to emergencies.

Nasreen Mukhtar, Pakistani I think making international calls from the UAE is cheap. I call my son in Canada almost every day. I can make calls at off-peak rates at any time of the day because I signed up to one of etisalat’s deals.
